Wedding Cake in Jashore — Tiered Cakes for Big Days

Weddings, engagements and gaye holud across Jashore

Wedding cakes work differently from birthday cakes, and the biggest difference is cost per guest. A tiered cake big enough to serve 150 people is extremely expensive to make. What almost everyone does instead — and what we recommend — is a smaller decorated cake for the cutting photos, plus plain sheet cakes cut in the kitchen for actual serving.

Why Made by Roshni

A home bakery, not a production line

We do not keep finished cakes in stock. Baking starts once your order is confirmed, which is why we ask for a day or two of notice — and why the cake reaches you soft rather than chilled and dense. Everything is made in our own kitchen in Jhikargacha and delivered across Jashore.

The show cake plus sheet cake approach

The cake in the photographs only needs to look good and be large enough to cut. Two tiers is plenty for that, and it is what most Jashore weddings use. Serving 100+ guests from tiers alone would multiply the price several times over for no visible benefit.

So we make a decorated two-tier cake for the ceremony, and alongside it plain sheet cakes in the same flavour that get sliced out of sight and served on plates. Guests get the same cake, you get the photos, and the bill stays sane.

  • Two-tier decorated cake for cutting and photographs
  • Plain sheet cakes in the same flavour for serving guests
  • Same taste on every plate, far lower total cost
  • Works for 50 to 200+ guests

Engagement and gaye holud cakes

Engagement cakes are usually single-tier and heavily decorated, often in the colour scheme of the event. Gaye holud cakes lean yellow and orange, sometimes with marigold-style piping to match the decor.

These are smaller commitments than a wedding cake and two to three days of notice is generally enough, though during peak wedding season it is worth asking earlier.

  • Single-tier engagement cakes in your colour scheme
  • Gaye holud cakes in traditional yellow and orange
  • Coordinated with your event decor on request
  • 2–3 days notice outside peak season

How far ahead to book a wedding cake

About a week. Wedding cakes are not orders that fit around a normal baking day — the tiers need structure, the decoration takes hours, and we deliberately take a limited number so each one gets proper attention.

Wedding season in Bangladesh clusters heavily in the cooler months. If your date falls between November and February, book as early as you can rather than a week out.

  • Book roughly one week ahead as a minimum
  • November–February is peak season — book much earlier
  • Partial advance payment required for wedding orders
  • Delivery timing planned around your ceremony schedule

Delivery and setup on the day

Tiered cakes travel assembled where the distance is short, and are assembled on site for longer runs to Benapole, Sharsha or Manirampur. We plan the delivery around your ceremony timing so the cake is in place before guests arrive rather than being carried through a crowded hall.

Tell us the venue and a contact person who will actually be reachable on the day. On wedding days the person who placed the order is frequently in the middle of a ceremony and not answering their phone.

  • On-site assembly for longer deliveries
  • Timed to arrive before guests, not during
  • Give us a reachable on-the-day contact, not the bride or groom
  • Venue address with a landmark works best
Common questions

wedding cake in Jashore — frequently asked

How much does a wedding cake cost in Jashore?

It depends on tiers and decoration rather than a fixed rate. Most couples spend less than expected by using a two-tier decorated cake for the ceremony plus plain sheet cakes for serving guests. Call 01963166004 with your guest count and we will quote the whole thing.

Can you make a cake that serves 100 wedding guests?

Yes, but not as a single tiered cake — that would be needlessly expensive. We make a decorated two-tier cake for cutting and photos, plus sheet cakes in the same flavour that are sliced in the kitchen and served on plates.

How early should I book a wedding cake?

About a week at minimum. If your wedding falls in the November to February peak season, book considerably earlier as we take a limited number of wedding orders at once.

Do you deliver wedding cakes to community centres and venues?

Yes, across Jashore district. For longer runs we assemble the tiers on site. Please give us the venue address with a landmark and a contact person who will be reachable on the day.
